2022 saw the return of the annual Emergency Services Match, celebrating and honouring the many people – paid and volunteer – who serve our community. This is an initiative led by Hawthorn football club and the 2022 match was against Richmond. A display and parade before the match at the MCG provided a great opportunity for fans attending the match to appreciate the role emergency workers have in our community.
Proceeds raised in association with the match are donated to ESF to help support our work to improve mental health outcomes.
ESF is grateful to Hawthorn Football Club for its continuing support and help in raising awareness of the mental health and well-being challenges faced by people in the emergency management sector.
