On 7 September, 600 firefighters from across Australia will climb 28 floors of the Crown Metropol Hotel, all carrying 25kg of equipment.
This year, the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb is raising funds for the Emergency Services Foundation, Lifeline and the Black Dog Institute. Funds from the stair climb will help ESF in its important work to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and encourage emergency service workers across Victoria to seek help early.
Thanks to everyone training and fundraising to make this a great event. Ember the service dog from CFA Portland is currently the leading individual fundraiser. Woof.
