2018 Volunteer Leaders Forum

At the end of April 127 volunteers from 13 agencies gathered in St Kilda for the 2018 Volunteer Leaders Forum hosted by the Emergency Services Foundation and funded by a State Government grant.

Participants were inspired and excited over two days by the opportunity to raise questions with emergency management leaders; see the latest equipment up close; learn from ESF scholarship winners and what’s happening to reduce the impact of mental health issues on volunteers; and participate in workshops to share and discuss ideas about leadership and the effect of rural decline on emergency management. Participants enjoyed ‘working as one’ with volunteer colleagues from other agencies and a great time was had by all!
